About Me

Hi and welcome on my blog site, my name is Kevin and I've been around in aviation for quiet a long time. Started off when I was at the age of 3 with my first ever flight from Brussels to Alicante on a 737-200 from Air Atlantis operating for Sobelair. This was our yearly thing at home, going on an airplane holiday during summer. 2 years later we went to Chania with an Airbus A300 again operating for Sobelair but wasn't theirs and that year after in 1993 we went to see my parent's friends in London while we flew out of Antwerp on an ATR of BA Cityflyer Express.

Basically my parents helped me a lot in feeding my interests in aviation. Our holiday photobooks were fitted with a nice introduction about the plane type and seating maps as well as all boarding cards and luggage tags nicely attached next to it.

As from 2001 we did our very first sightseeing flight on a Fokker 50 from VLM which flew from Antwerp to Antwerp ( took about an hour). And not much later I booked my very first flight alone from Brussels to London and back on the same day with BMI on their A319 and that trigged all the travels which followed. I enjoyed flying and spending time on an airplane so much that I always wanted to work as close as possible to an aircraft..

I Did several jobs at airports before to get the experience, I worked for VLM in Antwerp first at the office and 3 summers in a row on the apron as cleaner and loader. Not much later I could apply for Thomas Cook Airlines in Belgium to become a cabin crew member which I did for one summer. After that I returned to the airport and worked at check-in as I was on the waitlist for Brussels Airlines which I'm still flying for at this time.

As i'm flying a lot as a cabin crew member I do still enjoy flying on other airliners for fun too. It can be either short or long flights and even business or economy. But business class is of course a whole other experience as you have space and tranquillity. On this Blog I will try to post as much experiences as possible of my travels. Feel free to comment on stories as there's always room for improvement.

Enjoy reading!
