Berlin TXL - Stuttgart EW2001

A320 operated by Laudamotion OE-LOC 28F

Flight 2 was the Airbus A320 from Laudamotion flying for Eurowings, boarding gate was number 74 the ones SN used to use until AF and KLM moved over to those ones and now EW/GW uses them. The plane came in a little late from Stuttgart but as soon the passengers got off the boarding started. First Hon and Senators together with other priority pax and then the remaining eco passengers. After a short walkway the plane was there parked on stand with two stairs which made it a quick boarding. As I had seat 28F I boarder the aircraft through the rear stair.

Was greeted by a friendly cabin crew member and took my seat straight away. On this ex AB/Niki airplane they still have 30 rows of 6 seats which makes it 180 in total with the 2 toilets in the cabin (unlike the maxed out version on SN). Legroom is far from generous but for a very short 55 minutes flight it was ok. The seat pocket contained an explanation flyer saying they needed to use a 3rd party carrier for today’s flight but that the service wasn’t compromised because of it. A Eurowings magazine skybistro and duty free brochure were present and a Laudamotion safety card.

In the cabin you still see the signs of AB as the walls of the toilets have their logo. Furthermore the outside still says ‘airberlin.com’ on the belly, as they didn’t put stickers over it to hide it although the fuselage says Laudamotion. The uniforms of the crew is still Lauda Air uniform with a different badge saying Laudamotion ISO Lauda Air, on this flight there were 4 crew members. As soon as all the passengers were on board the plane got pushed and started taxiing to the runway, on the way I could spot the interim fleet of Easyjet for it’s grand base opening at TXL Airport. 2RJ’s a couple of Condor and Smartlynx planes were still present.

After take off the flight got a bit bumpy as there were a lot of clouds and the plane didn’t go that high for a short distance. Once cruising altitude was reached the crew started with their inflight service. Pax having the smart fare were mixed in the cabin with basic pax but got a box containing either a sandwich or cake and a small water inside. Additionally the crew offered hot and cold drinks as well.

As the flight time wasn’t that long the descent started a little while later with an on time arrival in Stuttgart airport. As the plane was parked on remote deboarding as done with busses which makes it a quick turnaround just like in Berlin.
